Paul just described his most terrible failures to Timothy, his son in faith, as proof that God wants to give his gifts to the absolute worst of us. He is convinced that no one is so bad that God doesn't want to share his grace, and the faith and love of Jesus with them.
Today, I will admit to myself that no matter what I've done in my life, I can have God's gifts even though I certainly do not deserve them!
