Jeremiah reluctantly answered God's call and soon found himself with the awkward task of telling people that the gods they had been worshiping we're fake and that the true God who created the earth and sky was angry at their turning away from him.
I wonder how often my own head is turned from God to false gods of my own making--work and money, music and movies, sports and hobbies. These all have the potential to become my false gods.
Today, I will keep my mind on the one true God.
