Paul wrote these words to one of his young churches. They are simple words which, in the light of what Jesus promised in Sunday's verse, should encourage us. Paul is explaining how to live day-to-day as part of this movement Jesus began.
Reading the entire passage is surprising. Where I expected a laundry list of "thou shalt not" type rules, Paul instead describes ways we can love each other. If you have a couple of minutes, check out verses 11-16 to see the details.
Today, I will try to remember to offer up every word I say and every deed I do, thankfully in Jesus' name.
